I love making things.
After a 30 year career in print, I began applying my design strengths to the glass medium, apprenticing for a number of years with a Quebec stained glass artist. My focus is on original works, custom commissions and occasional restoration projects.
What inspires me? Almost anything! Glancing out the window, rambling along a path, browsing through a magazine, getting lost. Good ideas pop up in the most unexpected moments. While I’ve always been drawn to pattern and line, colour and texture, working with glass continues to challenge me while presenting endless creative opportunities.
I love the process of stained glass. Often everything is deliberate, the design is finalized, the work begins. But sometimes, whether by a simple mistake, or complete chance, a surprise begins to emerge. The design morphs into something unexpected. That’s the magic that keeps me coming back.
