Brian Dekker

I am a retired military Air Traffic Controller following a new passion for woodworking. I have liked working with wood since I was a child. For me, the grain and inherent beauty of the piece of wood is more important than what I can make from it. I really enjoy taking the wood from a local tree that I rescued from the firewood pile all the way through to a finished product. I generally only make small items such as cutting boards, charcuterie boards, coffee tables and benches. This is mostly due to the small size of my shop.
