Vicky Bowes

Vicky grew up in the rolling hills of the Shropshire countryside on the border of England and Wales. She has always drawn inspiration from the natural world around her, and since moving to Gabriola island in 2014, she has found a never-ending source of wild wonder. Her artwork focuses on the landscape and animals who make their home here, and especially the waters surrounding the Gulf Islands. She enjoys telling the stories of their lives through her artwork, and she loves hearing the stories folks tell her when they see her paintings.
